Since its inception in 2004 under the hands of the famous feminist lawyer Flavia Agnes, the centre has organised several
national and state level conferences on Women’s Studies. Visitors to the centre include eminent women writers and
academicians like Pushpa Bhave, Padma Seth, Shantha Gokhale, Susie Tharu, Meena Gopal etc.
Runs a documentation Centre consisting of books, films and journals
Has the distinction of being the first in the region to start a certificate course in women’s studies in 2006
